CARA (Charity No. 1135610) provides a free and confidential health, social care and disability information services for both the public and professionals. We deal with 1,000 enquiries each month, most by telephone, but also by letter, fax and email. We aim to respond to enquiries immediately or within the same working day. However, enquiries requiring more detailed research may take longer. Information can be made available in other formats and languages as required. CARA was established in 2003 and is funded by Awards for All, the London Councils and Hackney NHS PCT. It is continually striving to improve its services and carries out regular satisfaction surveys.
