Premature Ejaculation

What is premature ejaculation?
Premature ejaculation is when a man ejaculates ("comes") too quickly during intercourse.

It is very common in young males, but can affect males of any age.

What causes premature ejaculation?
Premature ejaculation is almost always caused by psychological concerns (ie. anxiety) rather than a physical problem.

"Performance anxiety" most often occurs with a new sexual partner. However, it is perfectly natural to be a bit nervous the first time.

Physical causes of premature ejaculation include diabetes, a tight foreskin, and disorders of the nervous system.

What can you do to prevent premature ejaculation?
How to Treat Premature Ejaculation Naturally – The Simple 4-Step Strategy That Will Boost Your Sexual Stamina and Help to Last Longer During Sexual Intercourse:

Attaining a lasting fix to your premature ejaculation problem (PE) is the most critical thing that any man can do. Although there are plenty of products on the market that claim to treat PE and help you last longer in bed – such as desensitizing sprays, creams, pills and "climax control" condoms – these really are short-term fixes. To permanently cure your fast ejaculation woes, dealing with the underlying causes of PE is key. So how do you permanently prevent yourself from ejaculating too early during sex? The answer lies in a natural, time-tested 4-step strategy. Let's find out below!

Step #1 – Determine the underlying factors of YOUR premature ejaculation
There are several causes for PE, and these affect every guy differently. Among these are stress and anxiety (including 'performance anxiety'), as well as bad masturbation lifestyle that were picked up from teenage years. Some guys are also unable to control their ejaculation due to problems relating to erectile dysfunction – they rush through sex due to fear of being unable to maintain their erections.

Step #2 – Determine how long you want to last
This is important. Without setting a goal of how long you want to last, it is difficult, almost impossible, to eradicate your premature ejaculation because you have no specific end goal in sight. Incrementally increase your target once you reach each milestone. But be objective. If you are unable to last more than 30 seconds now (seriously, some guys have it this bad!), setting a target of reaching 20 minutes of 'staying power' within a week is a surefire way to set yourself up for failure and disappointment.

Step #3 – Maintain a positive attitude and outlook
Like all things that are worth doing, you have to be upbeat about what you are going to achieve. You have to believe you CAN totally and permanently cure your premature ejaculation issue, just like many guys before you who believe they can. Maintain a positive image of what you can do with that extra sexual endurance, and how much more enjoyment you can give to your female partner (and yourself too!).

Step #4 – Stay the course until you achieve your desired outcome!
Learn the correct techniques to improve your time to ejaculation. There are many natural conditioning and training methods, such as arousal control, breathing control, pelvic floor exercises and the correct masturbation techniques that will help increase your sexual stamina. The key is to take consistent action. Your body needs time to adjust to the training and conditioning. By focusing on what you need to do and staying the course, you will dramatically improve how long you will last in bed. Remember, practice makes perfect. Every single time.

In brief, you should be as as relaxed as possible prior to lovemaking and use the following techniques:

The distraction technique:
When you feel yourself reaching climax, think of something non-sexual (like naming the players of your football team) - this will help take your mind off sex & reduce the chance of you climaxing too soon.

The stop-and-start technique:
When the man recognises that he is about to ejaculate, stop all sexual stimulation for ~30 seconds and then resume lovemaking. This can be repeated as often as required until you are ready to ejaculate.

The squeeze technique:
Squeezing just below the tip of the penis for 10-20 seconds also helps delay ejaculation. This technique can be repeated as often as required until you and your partner are ready for you to ejaculate.

Getting help
Premature ejaculation often settles with time as your confidence grows with your partner.

However, your GP will be able to check that there is no physical cause for premature ejaculation and can also help with counselling/advice if required.
