Organise your own event
Be it cookery, poetry reading, gardening or music, you can put your own and other's skills to good use, having fun and meeting like-minded individuals at the same time. If you are in the process of planning your own event in aid of CARA Society, why not let us know and we can assist with publicity, give you ideas and send you materials about the work of CARA Society. Contact caraas@hotmail.com. Introduce our work to your school or religious group There are many ways in which school or faith groups can support our work. Your group could hold an event or service about people of Central Africa, for which we can provide a speaker who could talk about our work and answer any questions that individuals may have. Putting up a display in a foyer of your school or church or on a noticeboard can help raise awareness about the work of CARA Society. If your school or place of worship has a charitable giving element we would be very happy to make any applications, or to give more information about our work. After your event We are keen to receive any photographs of your event, which we can display in our newsletter, as well as on our website. We really appreciate the enthusiasm and hard work of everyone who takes part in local events, which raise vital funds and awareness about our work with people of Central Africa. Do get in touch with our Community Fundraiser on 020 7254 6415 or on caraas@hotmail.com if you have any questions or information, or just for an informal discussion. If you would like to organise an event with other like-minded individuals in your local area, please get in touch with our Local Groups Co-ordinator on caraas@hotmail.com. |
