Where to find Social Services – In Hackney
All adult Community Care Services except Mental Health Services and services for people with Learning Difficulties can be contacted through the Social Services Access Team. They will put you through to the appropriate person and can give you the name of the person you care for’s social worker or care manager. They can also give you the number for Occupational Therapy and any other numbers you may need.

Where to find Social Services – In the City
The Social Care teams provide support and services to children, families and asylum seekers, vulnerable old people and adults with a range of needs as a result of mental health difficulties, learning disabilities and physical disabilities. They also assist discharged hospital patients with their rehabilitation.

The Department provides help to Adults, Children, Families & Asylum Seekers and support to St Bartholomews Hospital Patients and can be found at:

People with alcohol or drug problems
Advice on alcohol problems is available from the City and Hackney alcohol counselling services on 020 7613 1313. You can also contact Social Services and ask to speak to the duty social worker.
