The Samaritans
The Samaritans is a 24 hour national helpline for anyone experiencing emotional distress. They provide confidential emotional support to any person, who is suicidal or despairing; and to increase public awareness of issues around suicide and depression.

Addaction provides help and support for people who became dependant on drugs and alcohol and needed help.

City and Hackney Alcohol Service

Its activities include:
Health: Aims to reduce the level of harm arising from alcohol misuse by the provision of treatment services, education and training and misuse prevention work. Provides a one to one confidential counseling service on alcohol related problems as well as groups and an Alcohol Withdrawal Support Service..

Off Centre
Off Centre provides free, confidential counseling and therapy to enable young people to recover from emotional distress and the effects of traumatic experiences. Also offers advice and information on issues that affect young people, including housing, homelessness and benefits.

Health: Learning through work allows working people to gain university qualifications without leaving the work place. It is designed for individuals as well as work based groups.
